HMC 9 24 09

Sorry for the lack of posts. Nothing has been new or exciting. I received my chemo and the chemo pump has been reestablished. My position at EDS did not work out. I was having trouble leaving the windows world and entering the Sun Solarlis Operating System. The company hated Windows and Microsoft, which is where I had a comfort zone. Needing a day off every three weeks to visit Hershey Cancer Clinic is making it hard to find a regular full time position, I need to redefine what I am looking for I guess.

Some good news is that on 10/15/09 the pump will be removed and I will be given pills to replace the 5FU chemo in the pump.

Thanks for the thoughts and Prayers

Dan

Hi Dan - sorry to hear that the job at EDS didn't work out..I'm with you - a real windows die hard! :o)

I got to see Pat for a minute at the PCCi picnic last week but didn't get to talk to her in depth to see how you and Danny are doing...it sounds like the news is good - which is fantastic...I'm still keeping you and yours in my prayers and am wishing you both the best...Nancy

Danny,
I'm sure you're thrilled with the removal of the annoying and claustrophobic pump! As far as EDS, it seemed to be too many hours anyway - maybe something more part-time would work better anyway. We love you and are here for you always... Ann

Hi Danny.... Glad to hear the pump will be removed soon. That will be a huge burden lifted from your shoulders - literally! And, as far as your job goes, I'm sure something much better will come your way .... in the meantime, I have been told that "farming" on facebook is a great hobby to have. I have also heard that one can tend to another's farm, and I know that there are several family members that would love a babysitter for their farms from time to time. All kidding aside, stay as strong as you've been! We all love you!
